On this 21st day of June A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty, personally appeared before me a clerk of the Supreme County Courts, a court of record within and for the County and State aforesaid, Catherine M. Tucker, aged 60 years, a resident of No. 93 Lansing St., Utica, Oneida Co., New York, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension provided by Acts of Congress granting to widows, to wit:
That she is the widow of Adoniram J. Tucker who enlisted under the name of Adoniram J. Tucker at Brooklyn, NY on the 8th day of December A.D. 1863 as a private in Company K, 5th Reg. N.Y. Veteran Infantry Vol. Commanded by Captain Charles T. Greene of war of 1861-5. Who died after his discharge of disease contracted while in service, on the 2nd day of May A.D. 1870, at 36 Cooper St., Utica, NY.
That she was married under the name of Catherine M. Becraft to said Adoniram J. Tucker on the 1st day of Sept. A.D. 1841, by The Rev. Wm Thurston at Morehouseville, Hamilton Co., NY, there being no legal barrier to such marriage; that neither she nor her husband had been previously married. That she has to the present date remained his widow;
That the following are the names and dates of birth of all his legitimate children WHO WERE UNDER SISTEEN YEARS OF
AGE at the father's death, to wit:

HIS BY A FORMER MARRIAGE:
That she has not in any manner been engaged in, aided or abetted the rebellion in the United States; that no prior application has been made.
She hereby appoints, with full power of submission and revocation,

Persons whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who, being by me duly sworn, say they were present and saw Catherine M. Tucker the claimant sign her name to the foregoing declaration; that they have every reason to believe, from the appearance of said claimant and their acquaintance with her, that she is the identical person she represents herself to be: and that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim.

Adoniram Tucker, a private of Company "G", 84 Regiment of New York Volunteers, was enrolled on the 8th day of December, 1863, at Brooklyn and is reported:
On roll for Nov. & Dec. 1863 present. Same report to April 30, 1864. Transferred to Co. "K" 5 NY Vols. May & June 1864 detached Pioneer 1st Brig., 2nd Division. July & Aug. 1864 absent daily duty Brig. Pioneer. Sept. & Oct 1864 present. Nov. & Dec. 1864 on daily duty. Brig. Hdqtrs. Same report to April 30, 1865. May & June 1865 present. Mustered out with Co. Aug. 21, 1865 at Heart Island, N.Y.C.
