Note on the Austin Family:
Edward and Minerva (Rollin) Austin had a family of at least 11 children - all boys. 5 of these boys served in the Civil War. Of the 5, only one, George, survived. Although the family was from Johnsburgh, Warren County, NY, they are included here because their mother, Minerva, along with at least two of her sons, Albert T. and Henry D., moved to Long Lake, Hamilton County, NY where they remained. George Austin was also mentioned in Ted Aber's History of Hamilton County.
